Membership FAQs

As a member do I have to reserve a time to visit?

Yes! Everyone who visits the Vancouver Aquarium must reserve tickets online before their visit, whether they are a longtime member or a first-time visitor. Please account for everyone who will be joining you on your visit.  You can reserve your tickets here.

How far in advance should I book my visit?

We recommend reserving your time slot 48/72 hours before your arrival.  This is especially important if you want to visit over the weekend and holidays.  Same day tickets are hard to accommodate as we are running at a limited capacity.

Where should I park?

The aquarium can get busy quickly.  But don’t worry there is plenty of parking available!  Please check out our map here.  The  Miniature Train parking lot (lot B) and the Police Lot (lot C) gives you quicker access out of the park onto West Georgia St and Downtown Vancouver as well as access to the Lions Gate Bridge* and into North Vancouver

The aquarium parking lot (lot A) has accessible parking and electric vehicle charging stations.

*Please note access to the Lions Gate Bridge is closed Mon-Fri from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.

How do I cancel/rebook my member visit?

We understand that sometimes things pop up and you can’t make your reservation to visit us.  You will need to email us at [email protected] with your order number, membership number and the day and time you would like to rebook to.

When does my membership expire and how can I check my expiry date?

You can visit the guest services desk on your next visit and we can update your card with a new expiry date sticker.

My child was free when I bought my membership, what happens when they turn 3?

Your child will remain free for the duration of your membership.  And when you need to renew your membership, you will upgrade to the correct membership package for your family.

Can I add someone to my membership?

We do not offer prorated pricing for adding someone to your membership.

Can my partner/friend/grandparent use my membership if I can’t go?

Vancouver Aquarium memberships are non-transferable and are for the exclusive use of the person named on the membership.

Can I purchase different membership packages in one transaction?

You will need to purchase different membership packages in separate orders.

I don’t know what my membership # is – how do I find this out?

If you don’t know your membership number, please email us [email protected], with your first and last name the membership is under, and we can help you find your membership number.
