The Stanley Park number 19 bus is the only public bus that comes into Stanley Park. We are a 2-minute walk from the bus loop. Learn more. 

The parking lots are not Aquarium property and require payment. There are Easy Park machines located throughout the parking lot. You may purchase parking by the hour or all day and we generally recommend a minimum of 3 hours to explore the Aquarium.

IMPORTANT: Please do not leave any valuables visable in your vehicles after you park.

Yes, Easy Park requires everyone must pay for parking including those using handicap spaces.

Yes, taxis do come into the park. The taxi stand is located across from the main entrance. If there are no taxis available the gift shop has a courtesy phone available for you to call one into the park.

The Vancouver Aquarium is open 365 days a year. We have amazing and engaging programs available every day for all our visitors. There is always something new to discover no matter when you choose to visit with us.

If you are looking for a quieter experience, we recommend that you come first thing in the morning from Monday - Thursday during non-holiday periods.

We recommend that you join us for at least 2-3 hours to be able to experience all we have to offer including our feature exhibit and daily programs.

Our featured exhibit is Vortex, a radical art instilation by Vancouver artist Douglas Coupland.Learn more. 

The 4-D movies are included in the cost of admission to the Aquarium. Visit our 4-D show page to see what's currently playing.View 4-D page. 

The 4-D films play every hour on weekdays and every half hour on weekends. Show times are subject to change, check the show board once you arrive and find a time that best suits you.

Tickets for our After Hours event go one sale one to two months before the next event.Learn more. 

All tickets for general admission purchased online are not date specific and are valid up to one year from the date of purchase. Please note when you purchase tickets you are directed to a 3rd party secure payment website, during this process, please do not refresh the page or you could be double charged. Purchased a ticket for an event? All event tickets are not transferable by date, to another event or to use as general admission.

The Vancouver Aquarium will only accept tickets from our authorized partners, any tickets that are not authorized will not be accepted at the admissions counter and considered fraudulent.

If you purchase tickets online through our website, simply bring these tickets or the e-ticket on your phone to the express entry at admissions when you arrive. We also have express kiosks onsite available for quick ticket purchases using your credit card.

Yes, tickets bought as a gift for others can be transferred. The tickets barcode is unique and will not be accepted more than once.

Yes, we no longer sell bottled water and have installed water bottle refill stations throughout our facility. This helps continue our efforts to keep plastics out of our oceans.

Yes, reentry is allowed with your hand stamp or receipt. Just be sure to keep your admission receipt handy.

Yes you can apply the cost of admission to a membership but only on the day of your visit. Please visit the Guest Services desk for details.

As a member, you will have unlimited visits during your membership. We have members only events and you will receive extra discounts at our food and retail outlets. View membership page for more information about why it’s great to be a member.

Yes we do accept U.S currency and all major credit cards. Please note change given will be in Canadian dollars. Exchange rates will apply.

We have language inserts for our visitor maps in French, German, Chinese, Spanish and Japanese.

Yes, we do offer Wi-Fi services. Please visit the Guest Services desk if you require assistance.

Nursing mothers may nurse anywhere in the Aquarium but we do have private nursing areas for those who prefer that. Check our visitor map to find a location closest to you.
