A home for rescued seals and sea lions
Our seals and sea lion exhibit provides a home for rescued harbour seals, a rescued California sea lion, and a young rescued steller sea lion who would not be able to survive in the wild. They now call the Vancouver Aquarium home.
The Aquarium rescues distressed marine animals, including seals, and rehabilitates them for release back to our local waters. But not all of them are able to fend for themselves, so some like the seals here, act as ambassadors for their kind.

Participate in interactive sessions alongside Aquarium interpreters, biologists and trainers. You’ll be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the habitats of some of the animals at the Aquarium where you’ll help our trainers in a feeding or training session.
Harbour seals are found along the coast of the temperate Northern Hemisphere,
often in coastal waters, estuaries and river systems
