Pays for one student
Pays for one class
Brings the AquaVan
Sadly, some disadvantaged schools simply cannot afford the costs of bringing a class to the Aquarium.
In the past few years, the Aquarium has sought and received select gifts from individual donors that, in turn, are provided to schools as a bursary to enable them to visit the Aquarium or to have an outreach program visit their school. By removing this financial barrier, accessibility to school programs has been increased.
The Bennett Bursary Program received its name from Betsy Bennett, whose decades of support and leadership at the Aquarium culminated in this permanent program which was made possible with the generous assistance of the extended Bennett family.
Your gift of just $50 is a starting point for a class to visit the Aquarium. A class is selected when 20 single adoptions have been made. The class will receive transportation, admission, and one school program at the Aquarium.
Your gift of $1,500 pays for one school program at the Aquarium that includes transportation and admission for a class up to 30 students.
Your gift of $2,500 pays for one day of school programs with the AquaVan at a selected school.
The Vancouver Aquarium will select schools to receive adoptions.
Your donations make it possible for us
to continue our ocean conservation initiatives.
