Junior Biologist Club
Please note: After September 7, 2020, the Aquarium will pause all on-site public programming and temporarily close to the public while we focus on transforming the Vancouver Aquarium to a new model that is financially sustainable in the long-term and accelerates our mission of ocean conservation. This temporary closure impacts all Vancouver Aquarium and Ocean Wise educational programming that normally takes place at the Vancouver Aquarium. We look forward to welcoming back students, teachers, parents and all life-long learners when the Aquarium’s reinvention is complete. In order to continue our important work, the Ocean Wise Education team has further shifted programming online to accommodate our new learning reality. We encourage you to visit Online Ocean to learn more about all our virtual offerings.
The 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. time slot is for 6-9 year olds.
The 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. time slot is for 10-13 year olds.
Junior Biologist Club participants are now eligible for seven levels of recognition. Recipients will be awarded with an ocean-themed badge that they can wear with pride.
Our Junior Biologist community page offers participants a chance to further their knowledge on the ocean by linking important resources, videos, photos and maps for each individual Junior Biologist theme. Our discussion page allows students to interact with our educators to ask questions before and after their club session.
We have created a list of frequently asked questions about our Junior Biologist Club, please see information below. Click/tap each item to expand.
