What is ACT?
ACT is a program for students in grades 10-12 who want to carry out their own
conservation project with the support of Vancouver Aquarium staff.

What will ACT do for me? There are lots of good reasons to join ACT:

  • It counts towards your work experience hours.
  • It will build leadership and teamwork skills, and looks great on a resume
    or graduation portfolio.
  • It puts you in contact with people who work in the conservation field,
as well as like-minded students who are interested in environmental stewardship.
  • You get to use the Vancouver Aquarium as a resource to help you
create your own unique conservation project.

How do I start? It’s easy – just follow these steps:

  • Think about an aquatic issue that you care about.
  • Get together a team of two to eight students.
  • Fill out an application form (pdf) and fax it to 604-659-3515.

The last day for applications is January 10, 2009.
