Finding Your Way
To The Vancouver Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium is located in beautiful Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Consider exploring the beauty of the park, or experience one of the many other tourist attractions, sightseeing tours or restaurants before or after your visit in the park. The Aquarium has many fun and educational family and kid friendly activities to offer. We encourage our visitors to consider taking environmentally-friendly modes of transportation whenever possible.

Walking Or Biking

The Vancouver Aquarium is a 15–20 minute walk from Downtown. Follow the green signs leading into Stanley Park on the north side of Georgia Street or walk/bike along the Seawall. If you are biking, be sure to lock your bike. Bike racks are available close to our main entrance. A Mobi bike share station is located on Avison Way adjacent to the Aquarium and is one of the five stations located in Stanley Park.

Public Transportation

For your convenience, the #19 Bus to Stanley Park will bring you within a five minute walk to the Vancouver Aquarium. The most common routes are:

  • Take the #19 Bus to Stanley Park, which runs along West Pender Street
  • Take the Skytrain to Burrard Station and connect to the #19 bus on West Pender at Burrard Street
  • Take the Canada Line or the Seabus to Waterfront and connect to the #19 bus on West Pender

Parking Tips

Pay parking and electric vehicle charging stations are available adjacent to the Aquarium. If the adjacent lot is full, there are many options nearby and throughout Stanley Park, including accessible parking spaces.

Please review the map to the right to familiarize yourself with Stanley Park parking options. 

Lot A – Parking adjacent to the Vancouver Aquarium. Here you will find electric vehicle charging stations and a visistor  drop-off zone.

If you are looking for accessible parking or are interested in the fastest way to return to downtown after your visit, take your second right at the roundabout onto Pipeline Rd.  to choose either parking  lots B and C.

Lot B – Is a four minute walk to the Vancouver Aquarium.

Lot C - Is a seven minute walk to the Vancouver Aquarium.

City of Vancouver pay parking is in effect in parking lots and on roadways throughout Stanley Park. Meters accept coins, Visa and MasterCard. Parking tickets must be purchased from designated meters to be valid  and remember your license plate number. There is no need to display your parking ticket on your dashboard.

April – September (6 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily)

$3.50/hour or $13/day

October – March (6 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily)

$2.50/hour or $7/day

Parking purchased may be used for all of Stanley Park. If you plan on exploring addtional  sights within  Stanley Park, it might be more beneficial to pay  the day rate.

Please note parking in Stanley Park is managed by EasyPark. The Vancouver Aquarium is not responsible for service and/or changes to rates.
