Making The Vancouver Aquarium Accessible To Everyone

We want everyone to enjoy visiting the Vancouver Aquarium. Wheelchairs, walker, and strollers are available free for use during your visit, on a first-come, first-served basis.  Walkways, ramps and elevators create easy wheelchair, walker and stroller access throughout the facility. Most of our exhibit videos are captioned, and we also allow accredited trained service and emotional support animals within the Aquarium with the exception of the Amazon Free Flight Gallery. We are fully committed to providing all of our visitors with the opportunity to have the most amazing aquatic adventure! Please ensure that you have proper documentation and identification jacket for your service animal.

For Children With Autism

Parents or attendants, prepare your child for an amazing visit at the Vancouver Aquarium with our “photographic preview”.

We want to ensure we provide a safe environment for your visit. In the event that a child under the age 12 or someone with a medical condition or special needs goes missing, we offer a search service to ensure we find your party member safely and efficiently. Please alert a staff member or volunteer right away.  They will accompany you to a designated meeting spot and ensure the search protocol is started.

Check Out The Canuck Autism Network Info booth.

Meet the Canuck Austism Network  team at their info booth display  for a photo opportunity. The goal  of Canuck Austism  Network is to educate the public about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as a means to encourage more inclusive and supportive communities for those living with autism.
