Making The Vancouver Aquarium Accessible To Everyone

We want everyone to enjoy visiting the Vancouver Aquarium. Wheelchairs and strollers are available free for use during your visit, on a first-come, first-served basis. Most of our exhibit videos are captioned, and we also allow Service Dogs within the Aquarium. Walkways, ramps and elevators create easy wheelchair and stroller access throughout the facility.

Learning at the Wet Lab

The Wet Lab

Our Wet Lab is wheelchair accessible and a great experience for our visitors with visual impairments, allowing you to get up close with some of our incredible marine life. Check our show times to join us on our next Wet Lab Exploration.

Unsupervised touchpools are available beside the otter habitat.

For Children With Autism

Parents or attendants, prepare your child for an amazing visit at the Vancouver Aquarium with our “photographic preview”.

We want to ensure we provide a safe environment for your visit. In the event that a child under the age 12 or someone with a medical condition or special needs goes missing, we offer a search service to ensure we find your party member safely and efficiently. Please alert a staff member or volunteer right away.  They will accompany you to a designated meeting spot and ensure the search protocol is started.
