Special Giving Opportunities
Special ways to give include monthly giving, giving circles, exhibit support and specific program support.
Monthly Giving
Monthly gifts are a great way to support the Aquarium on an ongoing basis. Your monthly contribution provides a reliable source of funding and saves time and money. Plus, you can increase, decrease, pause or stop your donations at any time. Email us for more information on monthly giving.
Giving Circles
Members of the Aquarium’s Giving Circles are part of an inner circle of essential support and are often connected to a specific program, conservation effort or research initiative. These supporters are the Aquarium’s key partners, sharing closely in our mission and vision and helping to shape the future of essential programs and studies.
As a Giving Circle donor, you will receive invitations to special events at the Aquarium and the opportunity to meet with Aquarium staff to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes. You will also receive a subscription to our newsletter, Waters, published three times annually.

Exhibit Support
For over 50 years, the Aquarium has been educating the public about our ocean’s life through an amazing array of exhibits and displays, highlighting aquatic life from around the globe. We are now home to over 70,000 animals including many important species that are at risk or even endangered in the wild and need our help now more than ever.
By supporting a specific animal or habitat at the Aquarium, you are helping us provide high quality care for these animals that act as important ambassadors for their wild counterparts.
With your annual support, you will receive a recognition plaque at the exhibit of your choice, a tax-deductible receipt and the opportunity to meet with Aquarium staff to learn more about the care of our animals.
Program Support
The Vancouver Aquarium is home to a wide variety of education, conservation and research programs. You may wish to direct your support to a specific program or project at the Aquarium such as:
- Marine education classes; More than 60,000 school-aged children participated in our education programming in 2008
- Direct action conservation programs including Ocean Wise, River Works and the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
- Research projects that focus on critical issues including declining marine mammal populations and protecting local rockfish from overfishing
