Hooked on Fishing

I first became interested in fishing on an outing to the Squamish River when I was four years old. My family had gone on a trip to see the spawning pink salmon and, just in case, I had packed along my blue plastic Mickey Mouse fishing rod and a couple of lures. We piled out of the car and rushed past two serious fishermen who had very expensive looking rods and reels. My mom asked them if they had had any luck, but the fish weren't biting. That is, until I caught a fairly large pink salmon. All my mother heard as she rushed down the river bank was the experienced fishermen saying, "The little devil caught one!" And my brother and I have been hooked ever since.
