VANCOUVER AQUARIUM: TOAST TO THE COAST

Celebrate wines of the Pacific Rim

Vancouver, BC: Enjoy an evening of wine, gourmet food and entertainment on April 8 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Vancouver Aquarium’s first annual Toast to the Coast. Celebrate the Aquarium’s 50th anniversary at this wine-tasting fundraiser that features wines from more than a dozen vineyards and pairs them with food provided by members of the Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program, which is committed to helping restaurants and their patrons make sustainable seafood choices.  

Guests will wander through the Vancouver Aquarium’s Tropic Zone, Treasures of the BC Coast and Underwater Wild Coast galleries as they sample wines from BC, California and Australia, accompanied by gourmet selections from C Restaurant, the Cannery Seafood House, Le Gavroche and AquaHost Catering. There will also be a special coffee tasting provided by JJ Bean Inc.

The experience will be topped off by the unique ambiance of the Vancouver Aquarium, which has over 70,000 animals throughout its galleries.

All proceeds from this event will go towards the Aquarium’s conservation and education programs. Tickets are $55 each and are available at the Aquarium and through ticketweb.com. For more information, please call 604-659-3472.
