AQUARIUM’S OCEAN WISE PROGRAM ANNOUNCES 19 NEW PARTICIPANTS
Vancouver, BC: The Vancouver Aquarium today welcomed chefs from the 19 new restaurants that have joined the Ocean Wise program since November 2005. Ocean Wise is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation program that helps restaurants and their patrons make environmentally friendly seafood choices.
The Ocean Wise program works with its restaurant and market partners to ensure that they have up-to-date information about sustainable seafood, which is caught in a way that creates minimal environmental impact and ensures the future health of the ocean. The Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise team consults with each restaurant individually to select sustainable menu items, which are highlighted with the Ocean Wise logo so they can be easily identified.
The following restaurants have joined Ocean Wise this year:
A Kettle of Fish The Ocean Club
Bin 941 O’Doul’s Restaurant & Bar
Bin 942 Provence Mediterranean Grill
