Vancouver, BC – The 11th ANNUAL DIVERS WEEKEND is on, Saturday January 23 and Sunday January 24, presented by the Vancouver Aquarium and the Dive Industry Association of BC. This annual celebration of British Columbia’s diving community offers both divers & non-divers a place to be together and celebrate BC’s world-class diving opportunities.
DIVERS WEEKEND makes a splash with lots of family-friendly things to do like…
• Super Suckers – learn about octopuses and their special sucking ability
• Tips & Tricks to Better Underwater Photography – capture wonders of the ocean with underwater cameras
• Top Diving Destination in BC – find out all the hot local diving spots
• BC Cetacean Sightings Network – Can you spot a marine mammal on your next dive?
• Divers Fashion Show – check out all the latest diving fashion trends
• Shark Dives – witness courageous divers swim with the sharks
Plus, don’t miss this unique opportunity to see World Champion Free Diver, Mandy-Rae Cruikshank and Jill Yoneda - multiple Canadian national record holders for amazing breath hold dive demos in the Aquarium’s Strait of Georgia exhibit each day at 11:30am. You have to see it to believe it!
Certified divers who present their dive card receive 50% off Aquarium admission. The first 25 certified Divers will also have the opportunity to sign up for a Free Lunch and Learn Underwater Photography Master class presented by Olympus.
