AQUARIUM KICKS OFF WINTER BREAK WITH BOBS AND LOLO PERFORMANCE
Vancouver, BC: The Vancouver Aquarium kicked off winter break today with children’s entertainers Bobs and Lolo, who performed a song from their new album ‘Musical Adventures’ along with the Aquarium’s beluga whales.
Bobs and Lolo will perform daily shows at the Aquarium during its Beluga Bash celebrations, from December 26 through to January 7, excluding December 31 and January 1 (but Graham the Magician will perform his magical tricks on December 31). Beluga Bash also includes face painting, crafts, visits from Aquarium mascot Bee Bop Beluga, and a scavenger hunt where visitors will get the chance to win a one-year family membership and a family sleepover for four.
The Aquarium is open on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day from 12-5 p.m. December 26-31, hours are 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Beginning January 2, 2007, the Aquarium’s hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In response to the extensive damage to Stanley Park from last week’s windstorm, the Vancouver Aquarium is donating $5,000 to the Stanley Park Tree Fund. The Aquarium will also match any cash donations made on-site by visitors for the next two weeks, until January 5.
The Vancouver Aquarium is a non-profit, self-supporting organization, which receives no annual operational funding from any level of government.
