Water in Space Donated by Sol Maya and Gwen Poole of Solart Glass Studio Estimated Value $7,000
Local glass blower, Sol Maya, is internationally recognized for his unique glass blowing technique and one-of-a-kind pieces. This deep iris-blue, hand blown glass bowl is from the “Cosmic String” series. Sol has always felt there is a strong connection and similarity between glass and water; glass is like liquid transparent rock and like water has the capacity to embrace the light from the sun.
This unique bowl can sit flat on a table top or can be easily hung on a wall using Sol’s simple hanging system. A conversation piece regardless of where it is displayed, it will be bring light and energy to its surroundings. Dimensions are 21 inches diameter by 8 inches high.

Nanniraut From award-winning Canadian nature photographer, Freeman Patterson, this original 28 inch by 48 inch photographic print (ed : 1/5) titled Nanniraut, the Inuit word for illumination, is rendered in the ‘Giclee’ process on Somerset watercolour paper. In his own words, Patterson describes the work as « evoking a dimension of mystery. It intrigues me because I cannot be sure of what I am seeing.
