The Marine Mammal Rescue team includes our staff veterinarian (as well as several consulting veterinarians), animal health technicians, animal care and rehabilitation specialists, and many dedicated volunteers. All members of the team are highly trained to provide qualified and experienced veterinary care to our animal patients.

Volunteers

Valued volunteers are essential to the success of the Marine Mammal Rescue and Rehabilitation Program. Caring individuals give their time to help with all aspects of husbandry and care of stranded animals.

Volunteering at the Marine Mammal Rehabilitation Centre involves: cleaning of facilities and animal enclosures, preparing food, assisting with animal feedings, assisting with medication preparation and administration, performing observations, keeping records, assisting with medical diagnostic procedures, accompanying staff on rescues and releases.
