Wild Family Nature Club With The Vancouver Aquarium

Connect With Local Wildlife

The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre has teamed up with the Canadian Wildlife Federation to host nature clubs for families with young children.

Families can get connected and learn about local nature and wildlife with the outdoors as their classroom.  Every second and fourth Friday of the month, an educator from the Vancouver Aquarium will lead a group to a designated destination in Stanley Park for unstructured play time.

Over the course of two to three hours the group will have the freedom to explore the environment and get hands on while having a knowledgeable guide to help answer any questions.

A backpack containing all the tools and resources needed, from a bug catcher to activity cards, is provided and families are encouraged to get creative with their uses.

Registrants are welcome to return to family nature club meetings with the Vancouver Aquarium, or to take their experience and start their own nature club in another Vancouver neighbourhood.

Families who want to establish their own club are given their own backpack and can open their meetings to others by adding to the calendar on the Canadian Wildlife Federation website.

Fridays, twice monthly. Check calendar for dates.
