Vancouver Aquarium Celebrates 50 Amazing Years with a
FREE Party in the Park!

We couldn’t let our 50th birthday pass by without having a really big bash – and you’re invited!
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Z95.3 will be on location outside the Aquarium with celebrity D.J Drew Savage
9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Party hat-making workshop with free coffee and juice at the salmon stream plaza (just north of the Info Centre)
11:00 a.m.: Parade with special guests SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, the Aquarium's own Bee Bop Beluga and the Carnival Band! Walk along the parade route with us, beginning at the salmon stream plaza and ending at the front of the Aquarium. Come dressed as your favourite aquatic creature and have the chance to win a prize!
11:30 a.m.: Enjoy a piece of our whale-of-a-cake! (Aquarium entrance plaza)
11:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.: Don't miss out on a meet and greet with SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star! (Aquarium entrance plaza)
There's lots of fun to be had inside the Aquarium too - with performances by Bobs & Lolo and the Sea Notes Band, 'Find the 50's' 50th Birthday Game, shark tank divers in 50's gear, a second whale-of-a-cake, giveaways and more! (Regular admission rates apply for all activities inside the Aquarium)
