Some Interesting Characters

Let your child’s imagination swim during Story Time in Clownfish Cove (check the showboard to confirm location). It’s a great way for kids to learn about and relate to the aquatic world while having a lot of fun. Through interesting characters and engaging stories about marine life, interpreters take their young audience to an exciting world that’s full of imagination and creativity. Story Time is most enjoyed by families with children eight years old or younger.

Play With Us

Story Time takes place in Clownfish Cove in the  Canaccord Financial Exploration Gallery, this children’s area is targeted at kids ages eight and younger and features a new animal rescue centre, seaside dock with “underwater” tunnels to explore, touch table and reading nook. The fun, interactive, learning experiences of Clownfish Cove encourage a sense of responsibility regarding conservation in both children and caregivers. The goal is to help create caring kids—while they play.

Learn With Us

Clownfish Cove fosters children’s connections to the natural world—all through exploration and play. When children play, they develop their imagination and creativity, as well as their language, social and problem-solving skills. By role-playing the part of a junior animal technician, getting close-up looks at local marine species and learning about the dolphin research we do at the Aquarium, kids will start to understand the wonders of the marine world and why it’s important to help protect it.
