Learn Through Play

Located in the underwater viewing area of the Wild Coast gallery, this children’s area is targeted at kids ages eight and younger. It features displays of live animals along with dress-up costumes, a new rescue boat, a make-believe animal hospital, touch pools and a quiet corner. The fun, interactive, learning experiences of Clownfish Cove encourage a sense of responsibility regarding conservation in both children and caregivers. The goal is to help create caring kids—while they play.

Play With Us

The new Clownfish Cove is located in the underwater viewing area of the Wild Coast gallery, where children and their caregivers can learn more about dolphin research and our marine mammal rescues. Children can also get up close to live animals through touch exhibits, glass crawling tunnels and fun displays.

Protect Marine Life With Us

Clownfish Cove fosters children’s connections to the natural world—all through exploration and play. By role-playing the part of a junior animal technician, getting close-up looks at local marine species and learning about the dolphin research we do at the Aquarium, kids will start to understand the wonders of the marine world and why it’s important to help protect it.

Learn With Us

When children play, they develop their imagination and creativity, as well as their language, social and problem-solving skills. Clownfish Cove is designed to allow children to explore and build on their understanding of our world. The gallery also offers tips for caregivers to guide children through their explorations and play. Story Time and Family Programs are more structured ways for children to learn about the marine world around us.
