The Amazon forest has no shortage of life, ranging from colourful parrots to furry two-toed sloths, but go a little deeper and you’ll find where fish and forest meet. Dive into the flooded forests of the Amazon and you’ll find some of the biggest freshwater fish in the world! Find out more about the air breathing arapaima, or the giant tambaqui that live among the unique mangrove systems when you join us for this Amazon-themed Super Saturday!
Start off your Family Day long weekend with a Storytime program at 9:00 a.m. in the Teck Engagement Gallery. Afterwards, find us in the Tropics Zone for an Amazon Big Fishes Talk at 9:15 a.m.

The tour starts at 9:40 a.m., so sign up at the Guest Services Desk on the day of the event to learn about some of the incredible plant life in the Amazon and their critical role in this ecosystem.
