Event Details

The Volvo Ocean Race is using its global communications platform to create awareness of ocean health issues and ocean plastic pollution, with the aim of activating people to be champions for the sea and empower them to encourage change within their communities and corporations.

Come and watch the latest race footage in The Vancouver Aquarium’s 4D theatre, meet the VOR team including Damian Foxall, five-time Volvo Ocean Race veteran and sign up to the Volvo Ocean Race education programme and Clean Seas pledge.

The launch of the Volvo Ocean Race Champions for the Sea Education Programme in Canada is facilitated by Ocean Wise at the Vancouver Aquarium.

Video of the event is available here.

The education program is available online for free download for educators and organisations.

  1. What is the Volvo Ocean Race
  2. What is Ocean Plastic Pollution
  3. Ways to Reduce Ocean Plastic Pollution
