Second Annual Easter Scavenger Hunt

March 31 to April 2, 2018

Join us for a self-guided hunt featuring astonishing aquatic creatures and their eggs. Many of the creatures at the Vancouver Aquarium hatch their young in fascinating ways and the Aquarium’s eggs-perts have come up with a cracking-good way to share these spectacular stories. Enter for a chocolate treat and a chance to win prizes.

Come face to face with some of the world’s most strange and mysterious shark species. These extraordinarily intelligent underwater giants each exhibit unique behaviors to navigate their ever-changing environment. Essential to the fragile balance of our ocean’s health, Shark: A 4-D Experience® explores the complex nature of these majestic creatures’ survival instincts.

From now until April 2, you can roll up your sleeves and have a unique, hands-on experience at the Discover Rays touch pool. Watch as these gentle fishes “fly” beneath the water’s surface, delighting and surprising guests with their curiosity. Learn all about their slimy armours, their amazing sixth sense, and why stingrays have big mommas.

Join us for a talk and a waddle. Penguins are just as curious about us as we are of them. So to satisfy everyone’s curiosity this Family Day, we’re setting up a meet and greet.

Sharks Attack Sleepover

March 24, 2018

The sharks have been around stalking prey in the oceans for more than 400 million years. With more than 440 species worldwide, come explore the fascinating world of Sharks as we take a closer look at some of the sharks who call the Vancouver Aquarium home. Learn everything you need to know about the 7 senses the Sharks have at their disposal through a Shark dissection, take a look at various shark jaws including a great white shark, and a tour to the Shark Penthouse.
