In August 2006, our environmental purchasing policy was adopted. The policy will serve as a guiding document, ensuring environmental costs are considered for every purchase made on the Aquarium’s behalf.
Aquarium Purchasers
Aquarium staff have proven themselves to be excellent green consumers. For example:
Our design team prints on 100% post consumer recycled paper for most jobs
Our office administrator chose 100% post consumer recycled photocopy paper
Our grounds department buys 95% Green Seal approved cleaning products
Our café manager chose plates, cups and bowls with the least environmental impact. They are all biodegradable!
