Close to the beach and the vibrant Davie Street (1114 Burnaby Street) shopping and restaurant strip. A 40 minute walk to the Aquarium, or easy access via transit.
Cost: $31.50 for dorm beds; $85.00 for private rooms (1 – 2 people) (NAME conference rates held until June 20, 2009)

- Name
- Gender (for dorm accommodation)

- Valid credit card number will be required to hold the bed/room. Payment will be made upon arrival.

One night only, Tuesday July 21st, you can sleep at the Aquarium for this unique overnight adventure! After everyone has gone home, and the Aquarium has closed its doors for the night, we invite you to join us for an exciting night of exploration! Stash your gear, meet your adventure leaders and get ready to explore the Aquarium. After a delicious evening snack, we head into our behind-the-scenes marine lab to continue on the second half of your adventure, where you can touch local invertebrates including live sea stars, sea urchins, anemones and more! Bed down in front of one of the Aquarium's spectacular marine galleries. In the morning, after a calm continental breakfast, tour the Marine Mammal Deck and Amazon Free Flight Gallery as the Aquarium wakens for a new day.
Cost: $69/person (includes evening snacks, breakfast and all taxes)
Booking: Go to the Activities page on the NAME website and complete the Field Trip registration form. This accommodation must be booked with a minimum number of participants by June 26, 2009. Full refunds will be given if the sleepover is cancelled. Participants may want to make alternate accommodations for the evening.
Porteau Cove Provincial Park Back to Top
Located 38 km north of Vancouver on Hwy 99, 20 km south of Squamish, 8.5 km south of Britannia Beach. You'll need a vehicle to get to the Aquarium from this park. Other nearby communities include Brackendale and Lions Bay. Go to their website for cost and booking procedures.
Golden Ears Provincial Park Back to Top
Golden Ears Provincial Park lies in the Coast Mountains 11 km north of Maple Ridge on the north side of the Fraser River. Access to the park is by vehicle via Highway 7 or Dewdney Trunk Road through the Municipality of Maple Ridge. If heading west, turn right onto 232nd and if heading east, turn left onto 232nd; then turn right onto Fern Crescent and follow road into park. The closest communities, towns and cities are Maple Ridge, Mission and Pitt Meadows. Go to their website for cost and booking procedures.
The Gage Towers at UBC is hotel accommodation for the budget minded Vancouver visitor. This unique lodging offers a wide range of cheap accommodation options. Situated on the beautiful UBC campus, The Gage Towers is close to beaches, hiking trails, recreational facilities, and food outlets.
