Clownfish Cove!
 |
| Nurse a rescued seal back to health in the seal hospital |
Located in the new Canaccord Exploration Gallery, this children’s area features displays of live animals- corn snakes, clownfish, a whole host of local fishes and invertebrates- along with dress-up costumes, a habitat building area, touchpools, and a quiet corner. The fun, interactive, learning experiences of Clownfish Cove encourages a sense of responsibility regarding conservation in both children and parents. The goal is to help create caring kids – while they play.

Join us for family programs |
The target age group ranges from infants to eight-year-olds. Since each child has a unique learning style, varied activities allow everyone to make a connection. Take an up close and personal look of some seastars, sea cucumbers, sea urchins and other local animals, dress-up and pretend to be a marine animal, create a habitat, or get your Animal Care Staff Junior Assistant apron on and use your imagination to nurse a seal back to heath at the Animal Care Hospital – there’s something for everyone.
If you’d like to participate in our interactive family programs and learn more about marine animals and ecosystems, join us Monday to Friday from 10:30am-11:15am (subject to change without notice, check our “Daily events schedule” for updates). These weekly themed programs are filled with a variety of fun activities such as stories, puppet shows, sing-a-longs, and crafts. These family programs seek to instill a sense of wonder in our youngest guests. (September–June non-peak season only).
