Site Coordinator Award of Achievement
Every year, thousands of Canadians take on the important role of Site Coordinator for the Vancouver Aquarium’s TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. Armed with data cards, clipboards, garbage bags, and with the help of family, friends and community members, they head to their local shorelines to remove harmful litter and collect valuable information about the types and amount of litter they collect. They are hoping that their actions will not only protect their shoreline by making it a safer and cleaner place, but will also encourage others to become more aware of the items they are carelessly leaving strewn along the shores.
The TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is successful due to the immense dedication, effort, and commitment of its Site Coordinators. The Site Coordinator Award of Achievement was created to recognize their outstanding dedication, and it honours those Site Coordinators who exemplify the spirit of the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup.
Two Site Coordinators will be selected each year to receive an Award of Achievement, and these recipients will be chosen according to the following categories:
1. School Group – for cleanups led by an educational facility
2. Community Based – for cleanups led by any other type of participating group
Recipients of the Site Coordinator Award of Achievement will:
