Steller Sea Lion Research Project

Steller sea lions at the Vancouver Aquarium, in conjunction with researchers from the University of British Columbia, are contributing to an international research effort that seeks to understand the mysterious and rapid decline of Steller sea lions in Western Alaska.

Stick or Serpent? Feeding a Tentacled Snake
Tentacled snakes are renowned for their patience when hunting, and can reain motionless for so long they sometimes resemble a stick. This video catches a tentacled snake in the act of feeding on an unsuspecting passer-by.

 

Snake Surprise: Anaconda Birth Caught on Video
Early one morning, an aquatic green anaconda at the Vancouver Aquarium gave birth to 25 live baby snakes. AquaNews caught the action on video.
