Satellite tracking map Turtle Tracking: Saving a Species, One Turtle at a Time
In January 2004, four Vancouver Aquarium-raised loggerhead sea turtles were released into the Pacific Ocean off Japan. Two of the turtles were fitted with satellite tracking tags, helping researchers to study their range and patterns of migration.

A team of Steller sea lion researchers from the University of British Columbia reports from a remote Alaskan island on their year-long field study.

Yaqara Bay Yaqara Bay: Bay of Plenty
A group of researchers from California's Loma Linda University are venturing to a little-known part of Fiji on a scientific mission of mercy. Their research on Yaqara Bay's aquatic invertebrates may help to have the region designated as a Marine Protected Area.

A Bird in the Hand The Limestone Log
Staff and volunteers with the Laskeek Bay Conservation Society Seabird Monitoring Program report from secluded Limestone Island, in the Queen Charlotte Islands/Haida Gwaii, on the long-term monitoring program of seabirds and marine mammals, and on life as a field researcher in these remote islands.
